A word about X-rays

Necessary radiographs are an essential part of any dental exam. Our office follows ADA guidelines in the taking of dental radiographs. A full set of radiographs will be taken at your initial visit unless you have had a recent set taken elsewhere (within the year) which can be forwarded to us prior to your visit.

The amount of radiation exposure you receive at a dental office is minimal. We will drape you with lead aprons to further minimize exposure. Radiation exposure from a full set of x-rays at the dental office is comparable to standing out in the sun for a few days or flying on a jet from Seattle to Los Angeles.
